Ready Tied Carp Hair rigs
The first major invention with carp rigs, these are the classic rig where the bait is mounted on a hair, since they became very widespread there of course have been some tweaks and adaptions to the original. These include using a longer hair to allow a bottom bait and a pop up to be used at the same time to create a critically balanced bait (snowman rig) to adding a rig ring on the shank of the hook to enable the bait to slide out the way and to give a better hook hold (Blowback rig). They can be made with either an uncoated braid such as Korda Supernatural or a coated braid like OMC Blend or Korda Dark Matter.
Even though the rig was the first proper carp rig, they still catch lots of big fish and are a staple in many anglers armoury.
