The Wafter rig needs no introduction, responsible for catching literally thousands of big fish all over the world. This particular version is a adaption by Korda's Darrell Peck. The extended whipping down the shank means the short hair exits the hook at exactly the right spot to ensure the hook flips and takes hold instantly. Simply add a Wafter to the hair, test the rig to check to ensure the hook lays flat, if the wafter lifts the hook up simply take some scissors and trim the bait down until you get that perfect presentation!

Tips for optimal usage:
This rig is made with a short hair that exits opposite the hook point, if you are using a large wafter then you may need to use extenda boilie stops to extend the length of the hair. Before you case the rig out you should test it to ensure the hook lays flat, if the wafter lifts the hook up simply trim it down with some scissors. The amount you need to trim off may vary between baits (even ones out of the same tub). Alternatively you could add a split shot on to the hair under the wafter to counteract the buoyancy of the bait.
