Fluorocarbon D Rigs

A favourite of Korda's Danny Fairbrass. The iconic D rig made with 100% fluorocarbon offers the ultimate in a stealthy approach to your fishing! The fluorocarbon is practically invisible in the water due to the unique properties of Fluorocarbon, It has great abrasion resistance and just enough stiffness to prevent tangles on the cast. This rig is great for use with wafters or bottom baits and can be fished effectively at any range from the margins to 12 wraps it makes no difference because the rig will present your bait correctly every time!

To get the best out of your fluorocarbon carp rigs, it is worth straightening it by holding the rig over some steam, this will make the rig go perfectly straight. We do steam all our rigs prior to posting them out however, during transit it is not uncommon for them to require minimal steaming again.

The D rig allows some separation between the hook and the bait, so when the carp sucks up your wafter and then tries to eject it, the bait can slide down the D section towards the eye of the hook - making the point heavy and facing down to the inside of the bottom lip.
