Fluorocarbon German Rigs

One of the quickest reacting Carp rigs available, The german rig has the bait mounted directly the shank by using either a rig ring, a micro flexi swivel or a bait screw. Because the bait is so close to the bottom of the lake this makes the rig very effective when using wafters or bottom baits. The slightly stiff Fluorocarbon not only turns nearly invisible in the water, has great abrasion resistance, its also heavier than water which makes it sink to the bottom and because fluorocarbon has practically zero stretch it means as soon as a carp sucks up your bait the hook will have to fly in to the carps mouth. The stiff nature of the material prevents the hook from being spat out. This is one rig that really deserves a place in every rig box.

Tip: To make the rig sink quicker and to ensure it lays flat on the bottom add a tungsten sinker roughly half way down the rig, this will pin the rig to the bottom and out the way of any feeding carp.
