The stiffness of the Amnesia boom means this rig remains tangle free even  on the longest of casts, If you suffer an aborted take the rig will reset itself so you can be confident your bait is presented right. 
Recent adaptions of the ronnie rig has enabled the rig to be used with wafters, bottom baits and even critically balanced bait. 
The Ronnie or spinner rig can be used over most lake beds including soft silt and shallow weed as the buoyancy of the pop up will prevent the bait from sinking in to the soft material.
