Autumn Carp Rigs
As the summer draws to a close and the nights are drawing in now is the time to be hitting the lakes. The banks are quieter, the fish are feeding well as they try to put their weight on for the winter. You will also notice the Carps colours will change. Fishing in the Autumn also requires you to adapt your approach and tactics. Most lakes are surrounded by trees and this time of year the leaves start to fall, some of these will sink in the bottom of the lake masking any bottom bait you can overcome this issue by using a snowman bait where the bait is critically balanced and will fall slowly in the water and then sitting on top of the leaves and debris, or you can opt for the Solid Bag method where the bag will sit on top of the debris and then melt leaving a nice little pile of tasty morsels and your hookbait.
