Not a problem we offer wide gape, long shank, curve shank, crank and claw patterns of hooks on our standard Ronnie rigs - our premium range offers premium hooks from Korda, Kamakura, OMC, Trakker, Nash even Pallatrax. We also have 3 options for stiff boom - Clear (practically invisible in water) , Black (perfect for over silt) and Camo! Our booms can be straightened without the need for steam, simply a quick pull with some rig pullers will make the boom straight. Because the Clear and Black Boom is Amnesia it means it is memory free so is resistant to kinks etc when playing a fish.
If you wish to use a Ronnie rig in a PVA solid bag then we even have ronnie rigs for this. These are tied using a supple braid such as Korda Super Natural which allows you to put the rig in the pva bag along with your free offerings knowing that the rig cant tangle and your bait is presented right on top of your loose offerings. This method is growing in popularity due to how effective it is!
The Ronnie rig is probably the most popular rig at the moment catching loads of big fish around the world. The uninhibited movement of the hook means no matter what way a fish approaches your bait the hook can rotate and be in the optimum position to prick the bottom lip. Should you suffer an aborted take or have lots of small fish pecking at your bait the rig will reset itself every time and will continue to fish.
Ronnie rigs can be used with all manner of baits from presenting a pop up bait just a inch off the bottom to a bottom bait on the bottom. Critically balanced baits such as balancing some tiger nuts will trip up many fish.
