This rig is inspired by Tom Maker (Fox and Sticky Baits) it is sometimes called the Illusion D rig,  This is his go to rig for when fishing with wafters and its easy to see why!
This rig is made with 100% Fluorocarbon or our unique camo fleck rig material. This conceals the rig against the bottom of the lake. Ideally this rig should be used on a clear lake bed and applying a small bit of rig putty around the middle of the rig will help to pin it to the bottom.

The Wafter D rig is made with Fluorocarbon which means it has some stiffness to prevent tangles and also turns invisible in the water - A very stealthy rig that really comes in to its own in Autumn and Winter. The D section is small like on a chod rig, this gives you the optimum hooking position when fished with a wafter.

The Tom Maker Illusion Carp rig is a very versatile rig, although it is for wafters or critically balanced baits, it works really well with a trimmed down pop up and a bunch of maggots on some bait floss like the Medusa rig. You can use small mesh pva bags with this rig to ensure you have a small pile of attractive loose feed around your hook bait however, fishing over a bed of particles like hemp, tares etc is where this rig really comes in to its own!

A really short rig is particularly effective when fished with a helicopter set up.
